Listed on the Steering Committee web site are all NGO documents for the June Special Session plus vital information on participation of Major Groups in the official Earth Summit + 5 proceedings. Also found is information about parallel events being held at the NGO Global Gathering/EXPO 97.
UNEP
The UNEP web site hosts information on a broad range of environment and development issues like Chemicals (including PIC and POPs); the Financial Services Sector and the Environment; and Trade and the Environment. It also includes a United Nations System-Wide Earthwatch. In addition, the site provides links to numerous conventions such as the Convention on Climate Change, the Convention to Combat Desertification and the Convention on Biological Diversity, to name a few.
